Viral KLIA Fight: E-Hailing Drivers Clash Over Parking Spot

Viral Video Shows Fight Between E-Hailing Drivers At KLIA

A video showing a physical confrontation between two e-hailing drivers at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) has been widely circulated on social media.

The incident reportedly began as a disagreement over a parking space before escalating into a brief physical altercation.

Footage of the confrontation quickly spread online, sparking discussions among netizens about tensions among drivers at busy airport parking areas.

Dispute Happened At KLIA Long-Term Car Park

Authorities later confirmed that the incident occurred at the E-Hailing Long-Term Car Park (LTCP) area at KLIA.

According to M. Ravi, police received a report regarding the incident.

He stated that the confrontation took place on 4 March and involved two local men working as e-hailing drivers.

Argument Over Parking Spot Led To Physical Altercation

Initial investigations revealed that the dispute began after both drivers disagreed over a parking space.

The disagreement eventually escalated into a physical confrontation.

“The dispute escalated, leading to a brief physical altercation. Statements from both individuals have been recorded to assist in the investigation,” Ravi said in a statement issued on 7 March.

Case Resolved After Both Drivers Reached Agreement

Despite the altercation, the issue was eventually resolved without further escalation.

During the investigation process, both men reportedly agreed to discuss the matter and settle their differences peacefully.

“The complainant who lodged the police report also decided not to pursue the matter further,” Ravi explained.

As a result, the case has effectively been settled amicably between the two parties.

Police Urge Public To Resolve Disputes Responsibly

Authorities used the incident as a reminder for members of the public to handle disputes responsibly.

Ravi advised individuals not to take matters into their own hands when disagreements occur, especially in public spaces such as airport parking areas.

He urged anyone facing similar conflicts, particularly at busy locations like KLIA, to report the matter to authorities rather than letting tensions escalate into physical confrontations.

Reminder To Stay Calm In Busy Public Areas

Although the situation ended peacefully, the incident highlights how minor disagreements can quickly escalate if emotions take over.

Authorities hope the resolution of the case serves as a reminder for drivers to remain calm and exercise patience, especially in crowded areas such as airport parking facilities.
