Malaysia’s badminton star, Lee Zii Jia, has secured the country’s second Olympic bronze medal in Paris! In an exciting match at the Porte de La Chapelle Arena on August 5, Lee triumphed over India’s Lakshya Sen with scores of 13-21, 21-16, 21-11.

This victory makes Lee the third Malaysian to win a men’s singles badminton medal at the Olympics. He follows in the footsteps of Datuk Rashid Sidek, who won bronze at the 1996 Atlanta Games, and Lee Chong Wei, who earned three silver medals at the Beijing 2008, London 2012, and Rio de Janeiro 2016 Olympics.

Lee’s thrilling performance not only adds to Malaysia’s Olympic legacy but also cements his place among the nation’s badminton legends.
