Netizens Shake Their Heads at Woman Who Turns Video of Her Child Destroying Wedding Dais into a Comedy Skit
A video has gone viral on social media showing a child knocking down the wedding dais at a ceremony, sparking anger from the bride. Even more shocking, the incident was turned into a joke by the child’s mother in a TikTok video.
The footage shows the bride’s disappointed expression as she was in the middle of the wedding meal ritual. Meanwhile, a woman appeared and admitted that she was the mother of the child involved.
Responding to comments from netizens, the woman claimed she did not expect her child to behave that way. According to her, during the incident, her child was playing with friends on the dais and accidentally pushed a sofa, which caused the entire structure—including the backdrop—to collapse.
“I was taking pictures of the bride when my child ran up onto the stage to play tag. One of his friends sat on the sofa, and he pushed it backward. I thought only the sofa fell, but I didn’t expect the whole backdrop to come down with it,” the woman explained in the video.
Although she admitted to feeling ashamed and angry at the time, the woman said the incident became funny when she rewatched the footage. She also shared that her husband quickly helped fix the damaged dais before they decided to quietly leave the event out of embarrassment.
However, her decision to upload the video while laughing—and turning the incident into humorous content—drew heavy criticism from netizens.
“I had to recite a whole prayer after seeing how the mother found it funny,” commented one user on X.
Many felt that the woman should not have turned it into content and that a sincere apology to the event host would have been more appropriate.
Some also stressed that this could become a lifelong memory for the bride and demanded that the family of the child offer proper compensation and a formal apology.
