PMX ‘turns’ Instagram into a K-pop party!
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s Instagram page has been blowing up thanks to his official visit to South Korea — but it’s not just the photos getting all the attention. It’s the banger K-pop songs accompanying his posts that have really got netizens talking!
The first post during his visit was just a simple carousel of his arrival in South Korea, no music. It still racked up a decent 11,200 likes. But once the music kicked in, the engagement went through the roof! A post featuring the BTS hit Dynamite (with photos of Anwar being warmly greeted by South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol) skyrocketed to 18,600 likes. Talk about a chart-topper!
Then, things got even hotter with ZICO’s Any Song, hitting 20,100 likes, and Girls’ Generation’s (SNSD) Gee, which earned a jaw-dropping 28,000 likes. Not to be outdone, SUPER JUNIOR’s Sorry, Sorry came in close with 26,200 likes.
Other K-pop legends also made the cut, like G-Dragon’s POWER, 2NE1’s Come Back Home, and CNBLUE’s Love.
Fans on the internet can’t get enough, with many joking about the possible K-pop-loving admin behind PMX’s Instagram. One comment even guessed, “Looks like the admin is a Gen 2 K-pop fan — definitely into SUPER JUNIOR, BIGBANG, SNSD, and MBLAQ!”
Some fans jokingly wondered if Anwar’s Instagram had turned into a music platform, asking, “What happened to reading captions? Just came for the K-pop!”
