Viral Video Draws Attention Online

A video shared on Threads has gone viral after an individual claiming to be Singaporean allegedly refuelled RON95 petrol at a petrol station in Malaysia before showing what appeared to be a Singaporean passport.
The clip was uploaded with the caption, “How to make Malaysians angry as a Singaporean,” immediately attracting widespread attention from social media users.
Passport Shown After Refuelling
In the video, the individual is seen recording the refuelling process before taking out what is believed to be a Singaporean passport.
He and another individual are then seen pointing towards the petrol pump display, which showed approximately RM60 worth of RON95 had allegedly been filled.

The authenticity of the claims made in the video, including whether any regulations were breached, has not been independently verified.
Social Media Users React
The video quickly generated mixed reactions online. While many criticised the post for appearing to provoke Malaysians, others suggested the video was created purely to attract attention and engagement.
In the comments section, one user pointed out that even if the individual had refuelled in Malaysia, he would not be entitled to the fuel subsidy provided to eligible Malaysians.
Responding to the comment, the individual replied, “Wait till you see my next video where I get Budi95.”
As of the time of writing, there has been no official statement from the relevant authorities regarding the viral video.
