A Clever Plan To Surprise Their Parents

According to Aeni Suhana, 30, the family had secretly planned the surprise so their parents would have no idea that their son was returning home.

To make the plan work, they even hid their mother’s handbag as a distraction.

“Surprising Mama and Abah with my younger brother’s return from Korea after nine years abroad.

“At that moment, Mama was already getting anxious because she couldn’t find her bag… We actually hid the bag first,” she wrote.

The small trick allowed the returning son to approach his parents naturally without raising suspicion.

Mother Didn’t Realise It Was Her Son

Moments later, her younger brother, Muhammad, 29, approached their parents while wearing sunglasses and a face mask.

He walked towards them while holding the missing handbag and handed it back to his mother.

At first, their mother did not realise that the person standing in front of her was actually her own son.

She calmly inspected the bag to make sure everything inside was still there.

But the moment Muhammad removed his face mask, everything changed.

A Hug Filled With Years Of Longing

Realising that the man in front of her was her son who had been away for almost a decade, the mother immediately burst into tears.

She quickly stood up and hugged him tightly, unable to hide the overwhelming emotion of finally seeing him again.

Their father also appeared visibly emotional.

“He was trying to hold back his tears,” Aeni shared.

Moments later, Muhammad embraced his father as well, creating a touching family moment filled with relief, love and longing after years apart.

A Special Reunion Before Hari Raya

Aeni revealed that the emotional reunion took place in their hometown of Kampung Paloh Satu in Gua Musang, Kelantan.

The timing made the moment even more meaningful as it happened just before the Hari Raya celebrations.

According to her, Muhammad had been working in South Korea for several years to focus on building his career.

Because of work commitments and distance, it had been extremely difficult for him to return home.

“We planned a small surprise because our parents didn’t know he was coming back.

“When he appeared, they were very emotional and happy to finally see him again after such a long time,” she said.
