A group of fishermen in Terengganu has become the talk of the town after they heroically freed a gigantic whale shark trapped in a fishing net.
In a series of TikTok videos by @qasih2022, which have gone viral with over a million views, you can see the fishermen diving into the sea in the dead of night to rescue the whale shark. The creature, which was reportedly twice the size of their boat, struggled to escape the net despite its efforts.
The tension was palpable as the whale shark thrashed around, causing a chaotic scene with other smaller fish. The fishermen faced a nerve-wracking few minutes as they worked frantically to remove the net.
With more fishermen joining in, they managed to free the massive shark and even recovered some of their other catches in the process.
