Fazura Sued for Failing to Repay RM4.65 Million to Obor Holding
“I’m deeply disappointed by what she (Nur Fazura) has done. This is the worst and most serious experience I’ve ever faced.”
That was the statement by Lim Boon Hai, 42, founder and Managing Director of Obor Holding Sdn Bhd, who has come forward to claim that celebrity Nur Fazura Sharifuddin failed to settle a debt amounting to RM4.65 million via her company, Pink Fate Sdn Bhd.
According to Lim, better known as Sam, his company officially filed a lawsuit in the Kuala Lumpur High Court this April after all attempts to resolve the matter amicably failed. He said notices had been sent but received no response.
Sam further stated that since the end of 2023, his company had faced difficulty obtaining payments from Fazura’s side, and all attempts to communicate with the company were met with a lack of cooperation.
Shockingly, Sam also claimed to have received a RM1 million cheque dated 3 September 2024, which was later confirmed to have bounced. Although he was advised to seek alternative payment methods, he said this was ignored.
All transactions, Sam said, occurred while Fazura was still a director of Pink Fate Sdn Bhd, prior to her resignation in January. However, her brother Ahmad Faiz Sharifuddin remains a director.
According to court documents, Pink Fate only paid RM2.68 million out of the RM7.33 million owed for tudung (headscarf) supplies since June 2022, leaving a remaining debt of RM4.65 million.
Besides Pink Fate, other defendants in the lawsuit include Fazfit Sdn Bhd, Ahmad Faiz Sharifuddin, and Fazura herself.
Five additional orders were placed in June and September 2024 totalling RM3.6 million, despite the original debt remaining unpaid. Faiz reportedly claimed the orders were meant for the Ministry of Education under the Merdeka Collection project.
Attempts by the media to obtain comments from Fazura have, so far, been unsuccessful.
