3 Pagi Era Radio Hosts Issue Public Apology Over Controversial Video
The hosts of Era FM’s 3 Pagi Era, Nabil Ahmad, Radin, and Azad Jazmin, have finally issued a public apology regarding a video that was accused of mocking the Thaipusam festival.
The apology video was uploaded to Era FM’s social media this morning after their previous post sparked backlash from Hindu communities.
Apologizing & Admitting Their Mistake
In the video, Nabil Ahmad, speaking on behalf of the trio, expressed their apologies to everyone affected.
“Greetings to all our friends. We at 3 Pagi Era would like to sincerely apologize to all parties regarding the video uploaded on Era’s social media recently. Our actions were inappropriate and may have offended some individuals, especially our Indian friends.”
Meanwhile, Radin acknowledged their mistake and promised to be more cautious in the future.
“We recognize our fault and misjudgment. We will make sure that something like this never happens again.”
Azad Jazmin, who was at the center of the controversy due to mimicking religious dance movements, also admitted his wrongdoing and welcomed criticism.
“We are always open to receiving feedback or criticism to improve ourselves, especially from our loyal listeners at Era FM. Once again, we sincerely apologize for the unintentional mistake we made. Our deepest apologies from all of us at 3 Pagi Era.”
Mixed Reactions from Netizens & the Hindu Community
The apology follows the viral spread of the controversial video, which sparked criticism online. Many labeled their actions as insensitive toward the Hindu faith.
While some accepted the apology, others believe that what they did was unforgivable. Several netizens demanded stricter action against the trio.
Previously, Era FM’s management announced that Nabil, Radin, and Azad would be temporarily suspended from their radio show, but no official statement has been released regarding the duration of their suspension.
