Malaysians often customize the placement of their license plates, sometimes deviating from the conventional spots seen on most cars. While it might add a touch of uniqueness, it can lead to issues, especially when trying to enter a parking basement where scanning the license plate number is necessary for access.
In a recent amusing video shared by user @ren.rennnnnn, she and her friends encountered this scenario while attempting to enter a parking basement in Sarawak.
Unable to Detect License Plate
In the video, the group can be seen trying to lift the parking basement barrier manually, carrying the license plate to the scanner.
Karen explained that the positioning of the car’s license plate at the corner caused the basement parking system to be unable to detect it.
“Something Went Wrong”
Not content with just removing the license plate from the car, they even attempted to move the vehicle forward and backward, as if there was a car there.
However, this approach proved ineffective. Consequently, two other friends tried holding the license plate directly in front of the scanner, but even this tactic failed.
“The whole situation was so comical that I couldn’t resist recording it,” Karen shared.
