SARAWAK Man Smashes PDRM Truck To Prove He’s Not A Snitch

Wild Incident Happens In SARAWAK Police Compound

A bizarre incident happened in SARAWAK when a 32-year-old man decided to get himself arrested on purpose. Instead of avoiding the police, he actually went into a police compound and damaged a police vehicle just to prove something to people in his village. The situation quickly caught attention because it was not a typical crime but something driven by rumours and pressure.

Smashes PDRM Truck With Hammer

The incident took place around 1 PM on Saturday, 14 March, at the Bau District Police Headquarters in SARAWAK. According to Bau District Police Chief Mohamad Haide Bin A. Rahman, the man rode a motorcycle into the compound before taking out a hammer from his waistband. He then walked towards a police pick-up truck parked near the traffic police office and repeatedly struck the left rear window until it shattered.

Arrested Immediately By Police

Officers nearby quickly noticed the act and moved in to stop him. With assistance from other personnel at the station, the suspect was arrested on the spot before the situation escalated further. What surprised officers even more was the reason behind what he did.

Wanted To Prove He Wasn’t A “Snitch”

Initial investigations revealed that the man from SARAWAK claimed he had been the subject of rumours in his village. Some villagers allegedly accused him of being a police informant who reported drug-related activities happening in the kampung. Feeling pressured and frustrated, he decided to damage police property so he would be arrested and could prove that he was not working with the authorities.

Even Asked Police To Arrest Him

After smashing the truck window, the suspect reportedly asked police officers to arrest him. During the incident, he suffered injuries to his fingers from broken glass and was later sent to the hospital for treatment. A urine test conducted afterwards came back negative for any illegal substances.

Claims He Has Been Hallucinating

Police also revealed that the suspect claimed he had been experiencing hallucinations for years, believing that he was being monitored and investigated by PDRM. Authorities are currently investigating the case under Section 90 of the Police Act 1967 and Section 427 of the Penal Code.
