Man Lured With Balloon and Pisang Goreng

In a viral TikTok video, a man claimed he was given a free balloon and some fried banana fritters (pisang goreng) by a balloon vendor in Genting Highlands. The vendor then allegedly invited him into a private room, locked the door, and offered him RM50 to expose his private parts.

The man described fleeing the scene immediately after the disturbing request.

Police Respond to the Viral Video

The Bentong District Police have taken notice of the incident. Superintendent Zaiham Mohd Kahar released a statement urging the man to file an official police report so a formal investigation can proceed.

“No police report has been lodged yet,” he said. “We are calling on the TikTok user to come to the Bentong IPD to assist with the investigation.”

Pattern of Targeting?

Initial checks by the police also revealed that the same TikTok user had documented other similar encounters at various locations. This raised concerns that the man may have been repeatedly targeted by individuals attempting criminal acts.

Police are urging any other individuals who may have had similar experiences to come forward and file reports at their nearest police stations.

A Reminder to Always File a Report

Superintendent Zaiham reminded the public that lodging a police report is essential whenever there is suspicion or evidence of criminal activity. Only then can law enforcement take action based on proper procedures and evidence.

The viral video has triggered widespread discussion online, with many questioning safety in tourist areas and calling for greater protection measures.
